A hybrid power system for ships refers to a system that contains multiple energy sources that can simultaneously serve as the main propulsion power for the ship. The hybrid power system may have a working mode that only uses a single energy source as the main propulsion power for the ship, but there should be at least one working mode that uses more than one energy source to provide power for the ship's main propulsion. The ship hybrid power system is divided into series and parallel hybrid power systems. The direct driving force of the ship thruster in the series hybrid power system only comes from the hybrid power system of the electric motor. Its characteristic is that in one working mode, the electrical energy provided by multiple energy sources is driven by the electric motor through the inverter to drive the ship thruster.
